Are you down with the Dip?
We can’t think of a better way to kick off Sac Beer Week than debuting a fresh Collab with one of our most admired neighbors, Flatland Brewing out of Elk Grove. A couple weeks back we hosted our pals from Flatland over to our brewhouse and we put together a very special collaboration.
“Joined @ The Dip” is a West Coast IPA that was brewed using a novel technique known as “hop dipping!” This awesomely aromatic IPA also employs a variety of hop forms: Simcoe & Mosaic cryo, Citra incognito (think, Citra hop honey), as well Citra, HBC 586, and Mosaic hops in their typical forms.
All of this should make for a delicious beer that we cannot wait to share with y’all!
Saison Day
“Saison Day” is an annual event started by our friends at Allagash Brewing to celebrate and share the eclectic awesomeness of farmhouse ales. This year official Saison Day celebrations are being held at just six locations outside of Allagash’s home state of Maine; Washington D.C., St. Petersburg, Florida, Chicago, Portland, Brooklyn, and right here at Urban Roots Brewery and Smokehouse in Sacramento, CA!! We will be using this momentous event to celebrate the release of “In And Out Of Focus,” our latest barrel-aged farmhouse ale. As a Saison Day host, we will have exclusive access to a number of very special beers from several of the best producers of Farmhouse Style Ales in the US.
